Once you have published your book, the usual question is, how do I sell it?
It´s fair to say that the hardest part of self publishing is to effectively promote, market and distribute your book, where to begin and how to go about it. However, we are more than happy to discuss and assist you with these services.
Firstly, you need to identify and define the target audiences for your book and then work out how you can reach them and how much it is going to cost you.
Although we do not undertake sales and marketing for publishers, we do provide a range of services to help you with the promotion and marketing of your books. We are able to assist you with designing, planning and implementing your marketing campaign to supplement your own publicity efforts, particularly in your local area.
It is very important for authors to be involved with their own book promotion, which requires hard work and inspiration, which will hopefully result in orders. Once your book has become known, people need to be able to purchase it quickly and easily. This might be through your local bookshop or through such as Waterstones or Amazon.
However, you might choose to sell directly to the public as this is by far the most cost effective, and for this you will need a first class Website. The secret of a very good website is not size, information or flashy design. It is optimisation! Web optimisation is the skill of making a site very visible to all the main search engines and we work with a web designer who specialises in optimisation, which will enable readers to find your book website easily and to be guided through to the ‘order my book’ page.
We can also supply a range of professionally designed attractive marketing materials such as leaflets, posters, postcards, business cards and bookmarks to help you with your marketing campaign.
Once your book has become known and people decide to purchase it, you will need to invoice and fulfil orders. If this seems a daunting prospect then help is at hand! We are able to assist you by receiving customer orders and invoicing them once the order has been fulfilled. We can also deal with the payment process, credit and stock control and sales and financial reporting on your behalf.
We would hold stock of your book and receive mail, ‘phone or fax orders which we would then quickly process and distribute. We would send you the revenue from sales at the end of each month.
