About us

Snowgoose Publishing is a friendly, professional and approachable publishing company. Whether you are a first time or an established publisher, we offer a wide range of high standard publishing services from concept through to marketing and distribution.

We understand how important your work is to you and your desire to get everything just right. Snowgoose Publishing will provide a quote and guide you through the various stages, working with you and offering advice and assistance every step of the way. We will help you to avoid the many potential stumbling blocks and ensure that you keep control of your own book and the copyright.

Once you’ve written your book the hard bit is over – publishing it should be the fun bit! Our aim is to provide you with a straightforward approach to successfully achieving a professional product as cost-effectively as possible that you will be proud of.

Snowgoose Publishing prides itself on being readily available and approachable for help and advice, particularly to first time publishers who might have many questions and concerns regarding their publication.

At this stage we would like to point out that Snowgoose Publishing is not a Vanity Publisher. A book cannot be said to have been self-published by the author if it has been published by someone other than the author.

If the name of some other company rather than the author’s appears in the book as the publisher, then the author cannot claim to have self-published his book and he has lost all control over it.

For a book to be genuinely self-published, the designated name of the author’s publishing house has to appear as the ‘Publisher’ on the copyright page of the book. The ISBN number of the book must also be registered by the ISBN Agency to that author as publisher.

It is not essential to have an ISBN, but if you intend to sell through bookshops or the Internet, then it is advisable.
